It’s okay to ignore the holidays completely. (In that case, feel free to ignore this blog post too.)
It’s okay to miss something from your past, even if there are good reasons why you can’t have it anymore. It’s okay to be sad.
It’s okay to disagree within the system. You’re allowed to have different feelings and all feelings are okay.
It’s okay to celebrate with people you like (or just by yourselves) and do whatever feels good to you. Kontaktpunkte have written about that (in German).
It’s okay to say no, to take a break or to leave if something is too much or if you don’t want it. It’s okay to be in a bad mood! You might also need a break if you’re too excited. That’s okay too.
It’s okay if you currently can’t hear your system at all, or are doubting whether you were ever part of a system at all. You can read more about this phenomenon, and what you could do about it, here. Or you can just wait out this stressful time.
Whatever the holidays are like for you: They will pass. And the world will continue to get brighter.
